TOk .. I can barely stand it as I write this, I have waited so long to tell you all about this product! I have been waiting until I could test them out for myself and send you a report on them!
So here goes. Spring time comes, and our new catalog comes out, already I am on the look out for new fall ideas.. well even before that.. this is a difficult thing for me and one that I am working on and kind of getting the hang of.. - planning ahead..lol I am unsure how this idea really popped into my head.. probably because of all of the talk about plastic bags, and really realizing the effects that they are having and will continue to have on our environment, when never breaking down in our landfills. Now I will be completely honest.. I am not the greenest person, I do recycle, but probably not much else.. until I read about the possibility of banning plastic bags.. I was shocked.. well also I will add that last September - before all of the plastic bag talk was going on, I made a point of ordering our Total She customer bags to be biodegradable.. Are they more expensive? Darn rights, but I really didn't care as it was important to me that Total She was not going to produce MORE plastic bags. A year later as I am ordering my second batch (which means we have filled 3,000 small bags worth of customer orders and almost 3,000 of our large bags! ) The girl I am dealing with gives me the biggest compliment ever - she says that we were the very first company to order the Eco enviro bags from their company Dunwoody and Booth, and now many other companies are ordering them and jumping on the bandwagon too! I was thrilled at the time because I just assumed that everyone would want to do that! Also take a look here -

Ok well on to the exciting STUFF! When I was younger - pre children I guess, I LOVED grocery shopping, LOVED it. I looked So forward to it.. and now.. It is a complete chore. I do honestly walk through the grocery store and think about how truly lucky we are to have such a huge selection of food to choose from, I really really do, and I will give my lessons to my kids too about how much food we have available to us and how lucky we are.. I think usually they are listening.
Well on the phone one evening talking to Katherine, It was quite late and I was delirious I think, I told her of my idea of sprucing up grocery shopping, with some cool bags.. as I really despise the cottonish ones that are out there that everyone sells. I personally do not care for them at all. Well she loved the idea and started really feeding my ego, and running with it. So I realized that this would be the perfect products to ADD to Total She.. And an exciting new BRAND to our family
"sheco" I knew that we had to Brand this new line of Eco products, and really had no idea of a name. (Honestly THAT is not my strong point. ) So Katherine is chatting out loud to her hubby and says, "Kristen needs a brand for these products - it needs to be like Total She and Eco".. and she blurts out "sheco!" Well she called me right away and honest to goodness I had tears in my eyes, I was so excited and I knew that was it, and immediately registered the domain name www.sheco.ca. Funny how things happen! So I know I am babbling but this really is important to me so it is important to share it! This was no easy task designing this product, and getting it manufactured from beginning to end. This was my story of NEVER QUIT - I tried to contact maybe 15 to 20 different manufacturers, and they all turned me down. I was almost nearing the end of my hopeful rope, when the last one said yes! So here they are - It is a set of 5 Huge Nylon bags, for your grocery shopping- and each bag has a different screen on it, that helps you to pack your groceries so when you get home- they are simple to put away! Today I went shopping with my youngest Emma who is 6, and she helped me to bag my groceries - well I just told her which colour bag to put the groceries in and she totally got it. I know where my frozen stuff was going - not with my toothpaste but with other like items! Ok there is more! Each set costs $40 and you also receive a STUFF bag which is simple to use and you can STUFF all of your bags into it when you are done your shopping! Throw it into your vehicle for next time!
We also have plain bags as well and they are $8 each of 3 for $22. Stuff bags are $5.
This is our SHE Life bag and it has inspirational words scrolling across the entire bag! And of course it is pink!
All bags fold up into their own small pocket and that pocket is actually attached to the bags so it never will get lost!

Here we are at the end of our shopping! Does that not look BEAUTIFUL and so FUN?? I was So excited! Excited to know that my 6 year old was still smiling after shopping- and soon I will see many shoppers with our bags and excited to know that we are doing our part!
Here are the bags in my van - Yes this is underground at Superstore - and yes people thought I was nuts snapping pictures with a flash of my groceries. But it was so worth it I had to show you!
I have to say.... I am PUMPED. a bit of an 80's word, but hey I liked the 80's! A brand new season with Total She, NEW exciting products...AND.. a new Blog! I am very excited, thrilled to be honest! I am also a tiny bit intimidated at the idea of trying to entertain you every day. Knowing I had set my own self up for this, and publicly voicing my concern, many people had offered their advice to me, "well you don't have to write every day, maybe every every other day, or even every week, Well sorry folks, you got me here at least M-F ;0)
Anyone that knows me, knows that I go big or I go home. I don't like to to do things half, I do them whole or not at all, and I don't pass many things up! - part of my problem..ha ha.. I love to be busy and talk and I love action and fun. My work is FUN! I love it, each and every day I love it more. It is not hard to wake up every morning knowing that I get to do this every day.. my goal is for anyone who wants to know what this feels like.. to be able to achieve it. If they really want to, I really believe they can. It is not LUCK that I am able to do what I love, It is my passion. I planned it, I still plan it, I live it, I do it, and nothing can stop me. That is they attitude YOU need to have. My goal in life is to inspire and lead women to do what they love to do... everyday.. for real, and not just do what they have to do and then dream the work-week away, waiting for Saturday, that is a heart breaker for me. Another hard thing for me to hear is.. "oh, I can't wait until this snow is gone, and it is SUMMER!" .. the next time you hear your self wish out loud for the future, stop and think: Do you think that the person that has been just diagnosed with a terminal illness on Feb 1st, and has 6th months to live, can't wait until SUMMER?? Please be happy today, and avoid wishing your life away. I don't care if it is -51, I am alive, my family is healthy and I am grateful!.
BTW - I tend to ramble on, this drives some people nuts.. but I carry on, It is me, and I am happy with that - I think it makes me unique and if you care to hang around to listen to me ramble I LOVE an audience.. :0)
