Feeling great today!  See what a good sleep can do!  I took 2 of the girls to the doctor today - nothing major wrong which was awesome.  We barely ever go to the doctor, so thought I'd better take them to make sure everything was ok.  My husband and I went to the kids school this afternoon because Emma won a couple awards, so proud of her!  Gotta love being self employed,  I didn't have to ask anyone if I could go, or to leave early, I just left, I am SO grateful for what I have.  It is not always this fantastic of course, but I sure do appreciate my life when I get to do these things, like doctors, apointments and school things!  Emma was so cute - she went up to get her certificate and her face was all pink, she gets so nervous and embarrasses easily, poor girl! 

No school tomorrow for the kids - again, I am able to be home, in fact we are able to schedule a 9am dance practice for Sara's duo.  Her and her pal Nicole are doing their 3rd duo this year- they are so tight it is great,  2 years in a row they won scholarships for their duo from Dance MB.  We'll see this year how they do, they are Frog And Toad.  Remember them? It is quite cute!

It has been a busy week with parties!  We even had a couple $1000+ parties come in!

The Bosom Button made the VIEW!

  Hi everyone, I am pretty tired tonight - all the craziness catches up to me on Wednesdays!  One night earlier to bed and I will be back to tip top tomorrow.  Have a doc appointment for my poor little Emma who has such a long bad cough, I figured it was time to go, then my Sara has a swolen ankle, so she is going too !  That's all she needs a sore ankle when she has so much dance going on YIKES!

Ladies Who Launch - Incubator #2

Here I go again!   Ladies Who Launch #2.  10am this morning I went for my 1st incubator course over at Carolyn Zimmerman's place.  She just has the best home for having people over, it is so relaxing and comfortable. 

There are 5 ladies in my class including me and I am excited to learn more about all of them!  I will keep you posted week by week as we move forward!  T

his is my 2nd time taking the incubator and I feel this time I will get even more out of it! 

 My project this time around is to get some new and fresh ideas of how to market Total She in other Canadian provinces.  Here we have this amazing company, amazing products, and we now need the amazing women that are going to show off our great products and start their own home based business. If you know one in another province - send us their address and will mail them our catalogue!  Never has there been a greater time for women to start their own home based business, and I intend to let everyone know it!

Monday! Off to a great start!

I am sitting here typing this Monday blog on my brand new computer!  I am beyond excited. My monitor is a whopping 22" and it is AMAZING! It is like sitting in front of a TV screen and working!  I opted for a desk top computer as I really do not need this computer to be mobile and have a lap top already - although it is now 3 years old and that will be my next update.  For me getting a new computer is like a guy getting a new TV.  Well my husband anyhow!  It was funny - when I was shopping at Best Buythis weekend, our great salesman Harman was helping us, well we scooted over to the TV area where he was demonstrating the blue ray to us ( I was with Wendy ) well he was so visibly excited I had to laugh inside.  Men get so excited about the crispness and pixels and all of those other great things!  I guess I was pretty excited too as I bought the Blue Ray too.. ha ha - He also sold me into the movie Planet Earth.  It is 550 minutes of nature close up, and This is truly amazing.  I will talk about this more in depth another day!

Stop and Breathe ...

Every once in a while I am dire need of this, I think....  Since my mother in law passed away in mid-December It seems I have not been able to focus quite the same.  It really is frustrating for me becasue it is not what I am used to of myself.  I think I am at peace with everything but the way I have been feeling makes me think maybe I am not.  

 I have been feeling like I am in a bit of an information overload, yet continuously seeking MORE information - I love information - but I seem to be gathering it at light speed and processing it all has definatelly been an issue. I am now trying to container it all so I can use it and spread my knowledge around into the areas that I need to!  I know this must sound corny, does anyone else feel this way?  There is always so much to do, an so much to learn, and there is just simply not enough time in a day!  Pulled this way and that as a mom as well as trying to effectively run a business definitely takes talent, one that I struggle with daily.  I think I am searching for the answers and information that will help me with this struggle.. Listen to me I am blogging to you all while I self analyze ... haha  funny...  This is a great way to vent.

Keep moving forward.  This is what I intend to do!  Little by little we will arrive...!  If anyone has any tips I am all ears.. Thanks for yours!  I am going to make some more lists.

This morning my 2 elementary aged daughters had to wear a toque to school.  My 3 daughters are in french immersion and it is Festival Du Voyageur week!  For the rest of the week it is scarf, plaid shirt, boots, and a beard!  It is a week they look forward to all year!  We are taking part in the schools pancake breakfast as well on Thursday which is always a good time.  

I have to say - if you are contemplating putting your kids into french immersion I say why not give it a shot.  I am far from french - I took it up until grade 12.  When my oldest was  nearing kindergarten age, I knew she was a smart child and I figured she could use the challenge, and I thought why not give it a try!  We have the odd home work issue but she has a great resource to tap into when she needs to.  Have a great day everyone!

Happy Lois Riel Day!

Yep we now have a Manitoba February holiday - and a provincial day off!  This is the 1st Lois Riel Day and I am happy it gives hard working people a day off with their children and families.  It is hard for me to remember what that is like sometimes working my own business.  That is the glory of it - you can have any day off that you want.  When my kids start to get busy in the spring with the MB dance festival - I never miss them perform.  I would be insane if I had to, and that is why I chose to do what I do.   Of course it is not all tea and cookies,  and there are many late nights that I am working, but it is so worth it for me... and I love what I do!  Well I need to get moving and get myself to Boot Camp!  Kids and hubby are home which is a nice break!  ( My hubby is also self employed which is also nice that we are on the same page )  I will be back a little later with our weekend update.

So I am back and just getting ready to proof our new brochure!  We needed to create a new one as our old brochure was pretty outdated.  We are constantly learning - and in this brochure we have only put in information that will last and will not get stale.  The brochures are great for our sales consultants to hand out when they are doing trade shows, or meeting people in informally. The catalogs then can be given more selectively to people that are truly interested in doing business with us.  

So the weekend was busy, filled with the typical driving the kids to here and there, but we had a few new women join our team!  Very exciting times we are in that is for sure! Every single time a new contract comes across my desk it is pure excitement for me!  I love to know that we are making a difference in the lives of so many women!

Tonight we are getting together with my " little nephew " -  He is 30 years old today!  Happy Birthday Bradley!  hehe.. Some of you may know Brad Goodman ...  AKA DJ FIN-S ( Check out his page ) He's Winnipeg's most versatile DJ!  Yes I am very proud!  Congratulations Brad!

Tomorrow is the school Valentines day party, so after their dance classes, we spent part of the evening finishing off the the Valentines!  I picked up some cool ones in the U.S. on the weekend that included Fun Dip and Nerds.. My kids were pumped when I showed them!  It's not all about junk food though - ha ha - I made a big fruit tray for Hanna's class party and of course got the gears from Emma as to why her class was not getting a fruit tray made by us!  I can never please them I tell you!  

I am picking up my oldest Sara from school at noon tomorrow, along with a couple of her dancing friends, we are hitting Harlequin for some new pointe shoes! It is a great opportunity as Joanne ( The owner of the Dance Centre ) is meeting us there to make sure they are sized properly!   This is a load off my mind as I certainly do not have a clue!  I am grabbing them some subs to gobble down on our way down and hopefully we will make it back to school on time!  Well off to get my self organized for tomorrow!  Tomorrow I will show off some of our NEW jewelry!

Katherine has outdone herself this time!  If you would like to receive  a copy of it please let us know and we will get one out to you right away!  I hope to be back on my blog now more consistently!  It has been a crazy few months, new catalogue, new products, just getting organized.  We have some fantastic new product lines added and I urge you to take a look!  

I have just returned from an amazing dance trip with my 2 older girls.  We spend 4 days in Minneapolis.  It was a long bus trip - and my back is now recovering but it was well worth it! The Dance Centre won 6 awards at the convention which was full of over 100 dance numbers! We won Teen overall best dance, ( that my girls were in )  and a few others I cannot remember!  It was super fun though!  I will be back tomorrow and will let you see some of our new products!  We got to stop in Albertville, and then spent the day at Mall of America.  The deals were not great which is why I say spend your money in Canada!  The exchange rate is pretty brutal now too.  Best to get more for your money while you live here!  I'll check in tomorrow!
